Morwick Dairy Farm

Morwick Dairy Farm is situated just outside the pretty village of Warkworth in Northumberland – England’s most northerly county.

Award Winning

The Morwick herd of pedigree Ayrshires and Holsteins have gained numerous show championships over the years. However, all sthowing achievements were surpassed in the summer of 2002 when Morwick Sand Queen won the Supreme Dairy Championships at both the Royal Highland and Royal Show.

At Edinburgh she also won the coverted Queen's Cup and it was quite fitting that in Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee Year that the Royal Supreme Champion should also be a Queen!

Warkworth has a wealth of small shops, restaurants and public houses, but is made famous for its medieval castle which overlooks the village and the River Coquet as it winds its way to the sea.

The Howie family has farmed at Morwick since 1945 and the family has a strong tradition of farming over six generations.

The year 2002 was a most proud and memorable time for the Howie family when Morwick Sand Queen completed "The Royal Double" - and gave us a perfect brand name for our ice cream!

We make great ice cream because we owe it to the girls!
